My Life In The Mosh Of Ghosts
Every gig I have ever seen. Forty-odd years of thud, sweat and beers.
Starting in 1977 and currently covering 1984, if you are a fan of Sheffield music from bands like Cabaret Voltaire and The Human League. Or you like Industrial and Post-Punk music in general, there will be something here for you to check out.
I'm Roger Quail, I grew up in Sheffield and played drums with Clock DVA and The Box in this era.
My Life In The Mosh Of Ghosts
My Life In The Mosh Of Ghosts - Gig 55. Cabaret Voltaire, The Lyceum Theatre, Sheffield, 27th August 1982.
Sheffield's grand old Lyceum re-opens for the second time in less than twelve months, and it falls to Cabaret Voltaire, who haven't played an official gig in their home city in over a year, to herald the resurrection. Roger puts on his new leather jacket - which he has been trying to make look like an old leather jacket - and goes along for a look.
Intro and outro music: Simon Elliott-Kemp.
Artwork: Rionagh.
