My Life In The Mosh Of Ghosts
Every gig I have ever seen. Forty-odd years of thud, sweat and beers.
Starting in 1977 and currently covering 1984, if you are a fan of Sheffield music from bands like Cabaret Voltaire and The Human League. Or you like Industrial and Post-Punk music in general, there will be something here for you to check out.
I'm Roger Quail, I grew up in Sheffield and played drums with Clock DVA and The Box in this era.
My Life In The Mosh Of Ghosts
My Life In The Mosh Of Ghosts - Gig 46. The Cramps, The Limit Club, West Street, Sheffield, 19th May 1981.
THUNKA-THUNKA-THUNKA!
Psychedelic sleaze dealers The Cramps bring their unholy, blistering big beat to the sweating shoe box that is The Limit Club, Sheffield's favourite subterranean watering hole.
Roger, just back from the rarified, cerebral stimulus of free-jazz trio AIR live in London, holds his nose and takes a plunge into the Goo Goo Muck.
Intro and outro music: Simon Elliott-Kemp.
Artwork: Rionagh.
